Canandaigua Lake Course Map – Start/Finish @ Kershaw Park

Keuka Lake Course Map – Start/Finish @ Champlin Beach

Seneca Lake Course Map – Start @ Clute Park, Finish @ Village Marina

Cayuga Lake Course Map – Start/Finish @ Treman State Park

The course on each lake is a 10k loop.  The goal is to stay close to shore lines, except when crossing over to the return shoreline, where applicable.  Land navigation and patrol boats/kayaks with buoys are used by kayak escorts to navigate swimmers.

As swimmers enter the water they line up by number and are checked off as they enter, and again upon exit.

An air horn is used to start the swimmers.  There will be a max of 30 swimmers per lake.

Kayak, Lifeguard, Patrol Boat Positioning – Lifeguards are positioned on patrol boats and kayaks.  Kayak support is assigned to each swimmer, with spare kayakers staged on patrol boats.    Patrol boats are positioned on the outside of the course and on the cross over area to monitor for boat traffic.
